To be such a woman…
Wednesday, March 8th, 2006Being a woman today, in our times, and actually always, is not easy. Being a woman who is courageous, strong, and faithful to her convictions is already an achievement, a reason to be satisfied. Mrs. Eugenia Stolarczyk is just this kind of a woman. Her voice accompanies Poles in Cleveland for 45 years – it informs us, reminds us about our history, traditions, and culture. In other words –her voice on the Polish Radio Program in Cleveland is the bastion of Polish national identity.
In the “Cosmopolitan Agency”, started by her “by accident”, “at full run” in 1988, we can take care of our necessities – get Polish press, buy something sweet or sour, just fresh from Poland. We can also satisfy our need for contact with Polish movies, take care of our dears in the old country by sending them parcels as proof of our remembrance and love. Parcels which pile up in the office every week taking up most of the office space.
